I need new mobo/CPU/RAM/VGA. This will be used for some hobbyist level 3d work mostly.
What's my most bang for buck? Links appreciated.
My render system will accommodate multiple cores, so the more the better.
My budget....under 5 bills, if possible.
Seems like the AMD Phenom 9950 is a pretty good value for the performance but I'd like to hear your thoughts.
As far as the mobo, RAM and VGA go, I'm completely open. Next to zero gaming will be done and what it will be stuff from before 2006 for the most part.
