Problems with motherboard

So I've recently bricked my old motherboard by upgrading the bios. I've just bought a new one, put it in the case, connected all my HDDs etc etc. It was all working, Windows was booting. I went to install the drivers I got with the mobo, but the DVD drive wasn't working, so I shut the box down to see what was wrong. I noticed the IDE cable in the drive wasn't connected properly, so I connected it. Now when I press the power button, the case lights and fans run for a fraction of a second, then shut off.

I tried disconnecting all drives etc etc. but no dice. Anyone got got a clue of what might be wrong?
