Copied from /g/, where they're too busy arguing over Mac vs Windows to be of any help.
Hi there, /tech/. Got a problem with a recently acquired (from a neighbor) projection TV. But where I live, my transportation options, and budget, hauling it into town for repairs is an almost laughable concept.
The green convergence is distorted like a magnetic field bends. The corners drift outwards vertically, misaligning the color and generally distorting the picture. I've gathered that the green is something you can't mess with in the menu, and usually requires professional service. See previous paragraph on why that sucks.
TL;DR - Green convergence is porked. Professional service essentially impossible. Homebrew solution, plz? Not afraid to open it up and manually tinker.
