Building a custom pc

Hi Anon, I'm trying to build my first real gaming pc without breaking my wallet, this is what I have so far:

Aluminium cases are lighter and dissipate heat better.

You've only got one 500 GB drive there - and no mention of backup stuff.  You might want to consider some RAID or some another drive for back up.

Otherwise the set up is pretty similar to my computer, except for the graphics card that is a 8600GT and the mainboard. I paid 800 euros for mine in february, that's pretty close to yours.

Go for it. If you're really sure you need the quad core, that is. Your choice of operating system makes me doubt that a little. Maybe you're better off taking a similar priced dual core with higher clock speed.
