I'm currently using (ick) Logitech 7.1 computar speakers for my 1080p HDTV and PS3/Wii. The sound quality isn't terrible but I think it's time to go for an upgrade to an actual Home Theater sound system.
With PS3 firmware 2.3 up I think now's as good a time as ever to invest in something that decodes Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, and I'd like to go with a 7.1 system. I'm currently looking at the Onkyo TX-SR605 or the Denon AVR-688, which is cheaper. I'm on a budget and looking to spend no more than $500 for the receiver and some decent speakers.
Anyone have either of these receivers and could perhaps give me some input?
