Hay /tech/, for current purchases (as I'd like to buy it sometime soon) what does /tech/ like in terms of DVD Burners?

Requisites:
-Few errors
-Excellent read speeds
-Decent write speeds

Preferred:
-Low price

Get some pretty cheap one but not the cheapest you can find. DVD technology is old enough to have matured somewhat. It'll be good enough for your purposes.

Whatever, they're all cheap. I use Pioneer (and have been ever since I purchased it for my first dvd burner many years ago) but plextor, sony, and lite-on should be more than adequate. Just go in picking a name you're comfortable with at the lowest price, you can't go wrong.

Don't change these.
