boot problems

sup /tech/ hopefully you guys can help me out.. i had 2 installs of xp on separate hard drives and formatted the hard drive that had all my boot stuff.. so what files do i need to put on the hard drive that still has xp on it? all i really know of is boot.ini ntldr and ntdetect.com

Boot from the Windows CD, enter the rescue console or whatever it's called. Check if the partition that Windows is on is marked as active. If not, make it active (fdisk). Then use FIXMBR, FIXBOOT and BOOTCFG /REBUILD to build the master boot record, boot sector etc.

Install a real OS. They tend to come with bootloaders.
