Ububtu help

i've been useing both windows and mac alike for years now and have recently decided to run ubuntu (lolubuntufag) on an old computer. i would like to try t get it really running but the typical linux forums ive been seaching under cant seem to talk like actual people do. is there a place i can get a better understanding of linux?

Ubuntu just has forums, and forums are always full of low-class peasants. And Debian-User will help Ubuntu users, if they behave. I know I will.
