So I added a font to /usr/share/fonts/corefonts. The font is now visible to applications and works. But, when I leave X, gdm starts spasming, load, crash, load, crash. /var/log/Xorg.0.log has a line at the end stating "X: client 2 rejected from localhost".
I just added a font, and now I can't start X without it (and gdm) repeatedly crashing and restarting. I've reinstalled X, gdm and just about everything else that I can think might be related, and nothing has fixed the problem.
Help!

Remove said font.

Op here. Removing the font didn't work, and now anything that involves root starting X results in a segfault. Curiously, ordinary users can start X just fine.

To reiterate a post resulting in a much-loved /comp/ meme;
Gentoo? I'm running BSD. Your failure is total.
