At $40, is a 512 MB, GDDR2 x1650 Pro a decent enough upgrade from a 128 MB 9600 Pro? I'd obviously like something a lot nicer, but for the price I'm having a hard time saying no; this is just a holdover for my new system. Going by fillrate, it is 33% better than my old card, and by max bandwidth over twice as good, plus it's PCIe rather than AGP.
tl;dr - take a dive on a $40 year-old card to replace a 4.5-year-old card?

Also, eXtreme Outervision's PSU calculator said that my system would use around 340 watts for my new setup I'm looking at at full load; should I roll the dice and just try it out with my 2.5-y-o 420 watt PSU?

If your old card is AGP, getting PCIe would be a bad idea.
