KVM switch

So this morning ive been trying to get a KVM switch working between two computers, the monitor works fine with the switch but neither the mouse or keyboard(which are both USB) will work.  Is this a driver issue? the switch takes both the mouse and keyboard and puts them into 1 USB port, could that be part of the problem?

Any help will entitle the poster to over 9000 internets.

Reinstall Firefox.
