USB pen problem

Name: Anonymous 2007-11-14 12:01

I got a new 4gb USB pen so that I can move some stuff from my XP computer to my Vista laptop. XP has no problem recognising it even if I plug and remove it several times but the problem is that if I put it into my Vista, it recognises once but if I remove it and put it back in again, it makes the noise that it recognises it.. and then nothing. I made sure all the drivers are up to date but it still does this. How can I fix this?

Get a Mac

Don't fucking rip out your USB drive. Plug it in properly, eject it via the OS.

You sure it isn't recognising? You might have to open/refresh My Computer.

Put your microphone next to your mouth and make the be-dunn sound that the USB key makes when it is inserted. This should prompt the operating system to update the list of connected USB devices.

No, it makes a dunn-be sound when the device is inserted, spermshake. On Vista it sounds more like a badly tuned piano.

If the laptop can't see the pen, take it out and plug it again. It's not vista but the laptop.
This also happened in xp.

try a different usb plug, sometimes windows puts a driver on each port. there is a program that clears drivers on each port but i forgot what it is called
