WinXP Internet Screwed up

Name: Anonymous 2007-09-17 18:19 ID:eFgsofpo

Trying to fix a computer for a friend.

He can't get access to certain websites. Firefox and IE both exhibit the same behavior. What is the likely problem?

You may have a spyware problem, try running your virus scanner and ad/spyware scanner.

It may just be a crappy ISP DNS server. Try 4.2.2.1/4.2.2.2 (Verizon, but available to anyone) or 208.67.222.222/208.67.220.220 (opendns.com).

Don't change these.
