.LNK =/= .EXE

Hey /g/, I need some help here, please rally behind my call.  On my Vista Home Premium OS. My shortcut files (like the shortcut for itunes and Microsoft Office)no longer work. Whenever i click on them it does nothing. I've seen this problem before with Windows 2000 and XP but can't find anything about it happening on vista. Essentially the .exe doesnt associate with the program, instead it just reads it as an .lnk...which does absolutely nothing. Come on i know you guys are tech savy and can solve this problem.

in b& fags and sages.

If the .exe file that was associated with the .lnk isn't there anymore, then there's nothing to solve.  Re-install the program that contained the .exe in question.

This article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base should rectify the problem.

You have Vista. You are not welcome. Kindly GTFO.

Re-create the links yourself, find the .exe's and put the appropriate filepath in the link. I've no knowledge of Vista, but in XP you could do as much.
