Keyboard settings?

Does anyone know what would cause a keyboard to randomly activate keys when using foreign programs? When I try to play Japanese shooters and fighters on my computer, the characters always try to move as far up and left as possible, even if I'm not hitting the keys. Can anyone tell me what I need to fix this problem?

Maybe it is interpreting some signal not from your keyboard as controller input?

OP here, I've tried taking out the batteries out of my other keyboard (I have a wireless too), and also cleaning out the keyboard, but no help. On my family's computer, they worked fine on installation, but I had instant problems on my computer.
