Someone in my family enjoys restoring and repairing electronics.  usually the electronics in question range from tv's to stereo systems to just about anything. and usually it's stuff people throw out, which is awesome, since it basically means we've never had to buy any of that shit in the first place, just have to deal with it being slightly used/refurbished.

anyway, the new project is an HP 4195A oscilloscope/network analyuzer doohickey.  a quick google/ebay brings up that this shit is worth a lot of moneys.  4 grand.  my question is, does it do anything neat/interesting/useful?  and would any of you be interested in partaking in a purchase.

this is the tech board, but from what i've seen this may somehow be the wrong place...
