NEED HELP FOR A TRAP

I need to catch a rat in my household but my convential mouse traps and poison dont work. how do i catch a mouse???

Take any ice cream pail, make sure you have some type of weight, take any strong smelling beer (guiness if you can waste it) pour a small amount into pail, rat will be drawn to it, hop in, start drinking and won't be able to climb out.

Worked quite well in my last hellhole of an apartment.

Cover the floor in foil or some other conductive material. Place chicken wire on top, separated by plastic standoffs so the wire doesn't touch the foil. Place block of cheese in the very center, on top of the wire. Attach foil to one cable of AC cord, wire to other cable. Plug in, wait for rodent. Electrocute until well done, serve with your choice of sauce.
