my roommate told me that i can hook up an internal dvd burner to my laptop externally through a usb-ide cable is this true? and also what brand of dvd burner has anon had the best experience with, by that i mean the most reliable?

sure. if you like wasting $$$$. fuck paying some tard in a factory to fit a burner in a caddy when you can do that shit yourself. also means you can remove the burner yourself to replace when it eventually dies...
