So hear this problem.. When I start up a game, my computer crashes. I got a AMD 3500, 1gig RAM, 6800 GS, nForce4 Mobo.
I formatted, played Guildwars for 8 hours, no stop, and then went to bed, leaving the computer on and music playing. When i awoke in the morning, I browsed the web for a few minutes (30), then went on to Guildwars.. shutdowns. The reason for formatting in the first place was to determine if this was software or hardware-based problem. After the format, I played fo 8 hours, thinking it had to be software; but then the morning after, its messed up again. So now I'm thinking hardware. Why would the hardware be fine after a format and then not fine 8 hours of gameplay and then 6 hours of sleep?
PS. Its not overheating from what I can tell, when I restarted, I ran a temp monitor and my GPU was at 64*C, then let it sit for 45 mins and tried again and it shutdown at 57*C. The MoBo and Processor are under 50*C.
Any ideas? Willing to try practically anything.

So you think it's logical to try reinstalling your hard drive before even considering that it might be your memory? Nice one. It's probably memory or your drive is dying (you didn't actually mention either of those in any explicit sense, which makes me suspect you have a poor concept of quality in that regard). First thing to do is check your SMART stuff, and then memtest. After that, you'll need to involve other computers, though it really doesn't sound like a motherboard issue. (You're not overclocking, are you?)
see that WINDOWS folder in your C:\ drive? delete it. all off it.

could be mobo, cpu or faulty ram.
either pay someone to check it out or self diagnose. start with ram as ram dies all too regularly these days.
