I can't get my tv-out to function properly. I have a GeForce 5500 FX, and whenver it I try to set up the TV out, it always comes out just a portion of my real screen. Like, the TV only shows a small sqaure of the center of the screen rather then mirroring my moniter perfectly.
What do I do?

It sounds like you have a higher resolution than what the tv can handle, unless the TV is HD, set the resolution to 800*600.

check the flux capacitor on the video card that will fix it
I had a friend with the same problem (and others) outputting TV, ironically everything worked perfectly with no configuration on the same system under Ubuntu ...
