Obsessive waste of money on iPods.

Why do people buy these things anyways? They are overpriced and with every upgrade, you still have the same music player.

1gig iPod Nano costs about 70 dollars. 80gig iPod costs 350 dollars. I'm not seeing the conversion factor here.

Also, I could get a 250gig harddrive for the price of a 1gig iPod nano. Who cares if one is portable, do you even need 80gigs for songs (Protip: You don't).

poor people have trouble with ipods 

The sound is good if you can afford good monitors, the batteries last a long time if you aren't charging them constantly, the dacs are not as important as you think, hard drive protection is only important if you walk around with sweaty palms, $400 is not that much money these days, and i have not seen a screen problem

How about you go buy a portable tape deck from the future and lurk moar.
