Randon Resets

Name: Anonymous 2007-02-15 12:19

OK, I recently built my PC, and when I initially had everyting in, I went to run it and it didn't run, the psu was dead.  Sent it back got a new one runs perfect, I think.  But now I have random resets every so often even when I'm idleing.  So if you could help me out and help me figure out the problem that would be great.

Among the possible problems:
* Insufficient power output from PSU
* Bad memory module
* Excessive heat / insufficient cooling
* Cat playing with reset button

OK I just bought my PSU and its way more output than I need just to make sure

I have enough cooling in the Case, 2 80mm fans on the back, one on the PSU, a fan on my CPU, and fan on my Northbridge, one on my graphics card, and another 80mm fan on the side

I thought it was bad RAM also, but a friend told me my motherboard was bad because the CPU was running to hot, and for the resets so I sent it back and bought another one hopefully that will be good when it gets here.  If not I'm going to return my RAM for another stick

Blow on your processor, check for dust build-up. Tell me what happens.
