I'm currently enjoying a funky dual monitor setup (main 1440x900 lcd assisted by 1279x1024 crt).
Wierd thing is wmv's will not display on the crt (they're fine on the lcd). Not really a problem, but I'm interested in knowing what the hell is going on.

Not only does the poster not mention what type of gfx card they have, it would not be an ATI specific issue. I have 4 monitors running on 2 ati cards and all can display any video format perfectly.
You may wan to consider pausing/stoping the movie and restarting it when switching displays, or try using a different media player.

I have used many ATI cards in laptops, and I always forget to set the primary monitor to a projector. I frogot to do this during a Physics presentation, and he was diqualified because of this. I have one nVidia card (it is a geforce go something. newer, forget what model), and it did not do this. I was never able to solve the problem. I hate to say it, as i know it will invoke bashing, but I switched to Ubuntu linux, and it solved the problem.
