Ok, I want to get a second harddrive, another 100gigs, the 100gigs I have now isisnt enough storage for me. I'm assuming a HD isint plug and play or one size fits all, so is there anything I should know?

Fairly plug and play. Get a standard IDE drive if you are not sure of the specifics, like a 99% chance it should be fine. Only real thing to watch out for is jumper settings which should be a peace of cake if you are not an Rtard. Basically plug and play, but make sure pc is off and unplugged before opening it, you are not statically charged, etc.

And by PATA you mean a retronym that was never used until SATA came along, and is still not used anything like as often as IDE to describe the standard parallel connection.
