Metal detectors

I have a problem. There are metal detectors in my HS and I can't get my cellphone/ipod through. Any suggestions? AND DON'T SAY SHOVE IT UP YOUR ASS!

My girlfriend just puts her cell phone in her bra and turns it off. Apparently thats enough to keep the phone from being detected. I knew another girl that would hide her phone and ipod in a notebook and since the contents had to be taken out, the notebook was passed around the metal detector and she got her stuff into school that way
