help: formatted hard drive poorly

Name: Anonymous 2006-08-20 9:52

When I got my PC I decided to install linux(big mistake) and partitioned my hard drive into 3: one for windows, one for linux and one for the rest of the shit, using linux. A year later after never using linux I decided to format my hardrive and get rid of the linux partition. The problem was I forgot the long password.

So I just used windows to format the partition. Formatted everything and started again using just windows. Now strange things happen on my PC, like it just crashes for no reason and doesn't perform as well as it did before I formatted.

Did I screw up my HDD? are there any ways of saving it?

At this point you have 2 choices. Either you reformat or you delete your system32 folder.

You know somehow I managed to install Ubuntu Linux and Windows on the same drive without fucking up like this guy, and I don't know a goddamn thing about partitions.

Don't change these.
