So I'm using Linux kernel 2.6.13 and X.org 6.18.1, with the wacom and evdev drivers included with the 2.6.13 kernel.
I've got it working, more or less... but there is a small problem. When the stylus lands on the pad and makes contact, the pointer sometimes "warps" away for a split second and goes back to where it was the whole time.
Strangely enough, this doesn't seem to affect drawing in Gimp (even though the pointer still visibly "skips" for a split second once in a while), but in every other drawing program that doesn't explicitly "know" the presence of a tablet, it sometimes causes unwanted straight lines (this occurs in oekaki).
I see this occur even at just the regular desktop, I hover the stylus around and it glides the pointer properly, but I can see the pointer "flicker" somewhere else very fast when the stylus touches the pad.
Is this a bug in X? Improper configuration of the xorg.conf file (even though I followed the instructions to the very tee)? Is it a problem at the kernel level in the wacom module? I'm not even sure how to pinpoint the cause, and I can't find any mention of this bug on Google nor Usenet (unless I'm using the wrong terms... I think "warping" and "jumping" are pretty precise terms for what the pointer is doing).
