Image sorter

What's a good program for giving images keywords and searching for them? Picasa isn't really what I'm looking for.

Haven't used it yet, but I've seen ACDSee recommended often for image sorting.

i've been using picasa2 but it sucks. the only reason i keep using it because if i'd change my program, i'd lose the data picasa2 holds.

then again maybe i should change now and not when the data loss is even bigger because i've gathered more pics.

reasons picasa sucks:
-categories, keywords and folders aren't in a tree structure
-adding keywords to files is not quick enough
-IT FUCKING CORRUPTS .GIF FILES!! it makes all animated gifs into non-animated ones! jesus fuck!
