Missing thumbnails /Win2k

The problem I have that my Win2k won't display thumbnails anymore, or rather, it won't create or modify a thumbnails file (it displays thumbnails of pics that were there already perfectly, but won't add new ones, and if I delete the thumbnails file it doesn't create another).

The prog I installed recently is Zone Alarm Security Suite.

What could be the cause?

I think the cause is the radiation from Jupiter orbit magnified with solar flares. Then again, it might be plastic rulers.

Zone Alarm is a stupid thing to install on your computer

it castrates your box and doesn't let anything that might change anything happen. It's like a padded cell for your computer
