Greetings, hopefully someone will be able to help me with this annoying problem.
I'm using Quicktime Alternative and Opera plugin to watch online quicktime movies like trailers, or fan films that kind of stuff, it looks just fine it downloads and play flawlessly, but when i save the file to disk (via pro registration, or rescuing the file from the cache) and try to play it, it looks very choppy, with jittery framerate, desync audio, and some times freezing my player.
I tried uninstalling quicktime alternative and installing the real deal, but i have the same problem.
the weird thing is i can watch the videos when i download them in the quicktime plugin inside the browser, and if after download i open the local content it still messed up.
my guess is i have some setting screwing up, i think i tried doing a fresh system install, but that didn't fix the problem.
I have a athlon 2500+ 512MB RAM XP SP2 radeon 8500 VC (yes the videos used to look OK a long time ago).
I've heard here you can get better feedback than in /g/
on beforehand thanks

Some things I'd test:
1. Try to open the video through the browser.
-Create a .html-file containing the following: (I hope the board doesn't screw that up.)
-Put a mov with the stated problems named test.mov into the same folder.
-Open the .html
=> You can confirm, if the problem is related to the file itself.
