Linksys WUSB54G wireless adapter

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-23 15:39

Posting this on /comp/ but no reply :S

anyway here is the original post verbatim:

Hey,

I recently bought a linksys wusb54g adapter to connect to a wag354g. the router is working fine as far as i can tell, but the computer the adapter is plugged into sporadically freezes, and the adapter looses all power, although everythin else has power.

i'v got the gateway on max security (changed password, non 'linksys' SSID, no SSID broadcast, WAP-PSK-TKIP (3600 second lap), MAC filtering)

would any of those affect it? if not wot the hell is?!??!

thanks

OP here, i think the problem is with my PC, coz i tried another adapter (d-link) and it still happened.

I was thinking it could it be a power problem, maybe the PSU is strugglin to supply everythin. Would the comp not jus switch off if that was the case?
