DS vs SP?

I've recently come into about three hundred dollars and I'm looking to buy a hnadheld system. The question is should I pick up an SP or a DS. I'm not a completely serious gamer, it's just something I do every once and a while. I'm a big fan off games you canjust pick up and play without having to learn that much. So my question is which do I get?

ds can play gameboy games, so u might as well spend the extra 20$

get a ds. ds games + gameboy advance games = massive library to choose from.

i'd recommend the ds lite. it may be more expensive than a sp, or a normal ds, but i think it's reallly worth it. the screen is much brighter (even brighter than the psp) and the batteries last much longer. not to mention it looks much better.
