So i have this crappy lexmark, i just refilled the color ink cartridge, and i can't get the thing to print with any of the color ink save for some yellow when i run the head cleaning cycle. the ink flows, when i press the cartrige against a paper towel, a dot of each color comes up. so why the hell isn't it using any of the ink?

1. have you ever successfully refilled any colour cartridge?
2. are you sure you filled this cartridge correctly?
3. after you finish refilling, you're supposed to wait 5-10 mins to let the ink sink in.
4. you could hve messed up the circuitry in the cartridge while you were refilling. this has happened to be before
i refilled it a couple times before and it worked, i asked tis elsewhere and they said the cartridge is probably locked out.
lexmark is evidentally especially horrid when it comes to ink gouging. apparently after a set amunt of time, the printer refuses to use the cartridge.

Yeah your cartridge has probably locked itself. Here in France you can buy small unlock kits along with refill ink to reprogram your cartridge. Maybe you can find one too in your country if you've got a not too crippled legislation.

Big applause to the Digital Millenium Crap Act.
This is meant to legally extort money from people and protect corporation doing it.
