How do you keep up with technology that gets old in 6-12 months?  If you have huge amounts of knowledge from 6 years ago, it means a lot less today.  What do you do to sharpen the rusty, dull edge of your brain so that you don't become someone that rambles on about the Commodore 64 all day.  This includes keeping up to date with software, hardware, programming, etc.  Keep in mind it will be forgotten in one year.

I'm with >>2 too.

Besides, a lot of the "new" ideas are just recycled old ideas. Some CS guy (Dijkstra?) once commented that ideas work in cycles, and it's true. The older I get, the more I see it.
