I'm gonna start to learn Linux by my self, i have some knohow in it but i know NOTHING!
What books can you guys recomend for people who are self learning linux?
Any books that are easy to follow , DIY examples and so fourth...

Yeah debian based distros are taking the hell over. Gentoo is going to die down to just a few select nerds who have sooo much time that they can sit and wait for a program to emerge and build from source to not see a preformance difference. When I want/need a program, I expect it now, not in 15 minutes, not in a half hour, not in a freaking DAY as the case may be.
Emerge doesn't actually teach you anything other than "emerge vim" oh wow guys, I learned everything there is about that...
yeah right no different than apt-get. Some users will claim performance differences, and I'm sure Gentoo is a little bit faster when benchmarked, but is that barely there increase in speed worth not having your multimedia keys perfectly configured out of the box like they now often are with distros like Ubuntu, etc? Fuck, you could at least switch from gentoo to Arch and install i686 packages. There I am pretty confident that the home user won't see the diff between his packages built with emerge and the 686 ones from the Arch repos.
