decription pass phrases

does anybody know if there's any way to get around having to type in a passphrase for .rar files?

1. Find out the password
or
2. Run a brute force password cracker (Google "rar password cracker"), and wait for a long, long, long, long, long time.

Fap on harddrive where the .rar is.

that's a paradox, he can't do it without opening the rar...

Yeah the passwords use to be easy as shit but now it looks like they actually use real encryption making it harder than hell to crack if that password was chosen randomly and is of decent length
