screwed up cameraphone

i have a samsung model "sch-a670" cameraphone (looks like: http://k-tai.impress.co.jp/cda/static/image/2005/06/02/sam03l.jpg) that recently won't take pictures whenever the phone is open. pressing either okay or the camera button just makes the image on the display freeze as if it were taking a picture, and has the flash go off (if it's set to anyway), but the 'shutter' sound doesn't play and the image returns to the viewfinder as soon as you let go of the button. it will still take pictures with the phone closed, but this is a pain in the ass when trying to take a picture of anything but your own head. help pleeze

Have you dropped your phone alot, my phone has similar problems and I was told this usually happen when the CCD in the phone is damaged

yeah actually it has been dropped a few times. is there any way i might jiggle it or something like that to get it to work? or is it just broken beyond repair (there was a period where it would sometimes work and sometimes not).

I don't know where to repair cell phones. I was just going to by a new (better =D ) phone and be more careful.
