I'm looking for opinions on a TV for my Xbox 360, this being the one I'm thinking of purchasing, the RCA D52W23. The price seems right and I can't get a deffinative answer as to whether upconverting all signals to 1080i is bad for games like FPS's. I've heard there is a drop in frame rate to something like 30 fps. Is it really that noticable? Thanks!

You're getting a HDTV only for your 360? Isn't it cheaper to just get a VGA-cable and use a regular computer screen?

Not strictly for the 360, I have a home theatre system too, so this is for movies and HD channels as well.

Seriously.
Buy a decent 21" TFT-Screen and connect your Xbox to that. Thats cheaper than a HDTV and you can use it with your computer without a hassle.
BTW: You can set the resolution from 480i/p to 1080i. Theres stuff like 1024x768 and so on in between. But I don't know if it just gets scaled or rendered in that resolution by the Xbox...
