cellphone problems

hello

my nokia 1100 died peacefully in its sleep last night, taking with it about 90 phone numbers stored in its flash memory. i rang a nokia repair centre who said that part of their procedure is to reflash the phone, which would wipe out all stored data.

i'm not concerned with getting the phone working again but really need to extract the numbers / messages / reminders that were stored in the phone memory (the SIM is fine though)

does anyone have any tips on how i can make a copy of the data stored inside the flash chip for further analysis?

advice on how to extract the chip from the board safely and what hardware/software i'd need to read its content would be most appreciated!

I bet you can't even solder components ten times that size.

Don't change these.
