Bose 501 series V speakers

What do you think of Bose 501 series V loudspeakers, I got an offer to buy them in excellent condition for 400$. Are they worth it?

My advice is to listen to them first; if possible, borrow them to listen on your own equipment in your own room with your own music.

word. number 2 is absolutely correct. but they are bose, so they cant be all that bad.

Bose is generally overpriced for what you get, your paying for the brand more then anything. But if your getting a good deal they should be worth it. As stated before listen to them first though.
