Image blocking using a comparison method?

Name: Anonymous 2006-01-07 3:32

What's the point of adblocking a image if someone just renames and crops it and reposts it. Is there any way to block an image and have all "near like" copies of it blocked also? Something like imgseek but using that system to instead block similiar exact copies of webpages.

You block everything from a particular site, server or folder. For example, don't just block "http://www.example.com/adimages/image1138.gif"; - block "http://www.example.com/adimages/*". That will block any images stored in that directory and its subdirectories.

Personally, I find it easier to use one of those ready-made adblock filters that use regular expressions: just a few lines is all it takes to block 95%+ of all web page ads.

Wow, I must have been confused by him asking about "adblocking a image", when he actually meant "nothing to do with adblocking an image". I'm afraid my psychic powers must be a little below par today.

Don't change these.
