Headphones

So I'm thinking of getting some headphones. I have checked headphonereviews.com and head-fi.org and I'm looking on a couple of Sennheiser HD555, that's as much as I wan't to pay for a couple of headphones. But the rating on headphonereviews is not very high and it feels like I could be getting something equally good for less money. I will mainly be using these for music and some games and I'd like them to be of the type that cover the whole ear. Are there any headphones you would recomend?

Sony MDR-SA1000 lightweight and comfortable, good sound with a huge dynamic range. If you live in the US, you should be able to find it for $110.

SHI.. those headphones costed more than twice that here in Sweden. (270 USD)

How is the price on Sennheiser HD-280? I don't remember if it's closed or open, but it's certainly well-made.

Alessandro MS-1s?? or Grado SR-60's or something? both are good

I upgraded from SR-60s to MS-1s and I can say that both are amazingly good headphones, but won't be very good if you're going to use them anywhere that has much other sound in the area. I think the SR-60s are gonna run you about $75, while the MS-1s (which are really just tweaked SR-80s) are gonna be around $100.

The guys on Head-Fi were saying that the rumour that the MS-1's are tweaked SR-80's isn't true, and they're actually SR-125's... either way, they're totally awesome.

Don't change these.
