Creative Zen Micropicture

I\'m thinking about getting one of these, but I have a few questions.
First, does it require a bunch of retarded software just to transfer files, or can I treat it like a disk drive, a la USB flash drive?
Second, does it have any retarded piracy protection, or can I just dump my MP3 collection onto it? Browse them by folders, even?

I know the Creative Zen Xtra mp3 players have idiot retarded software that has to be used (and it really sucks), but does not have any piracy protection mechanisms.
