Anyone know how to disassemble a Nintendo DS all the way through to the top screen..(like if you needed to replace the top screen)... I can already get all the way to the bottom screen/ disassemble the logic board/lower screen/ l/r buttons.. and I can remove the top covering of one of the notches that holds the top screen (theres 1 last screw directly under the 2 notches that keep the top screen in place)...
but! ... I cannot get the top screen out, because there are no more apparent screws...... you guys think there is a special way to remove it or something?
think I need a special tool? anyone done this before!?!?
please respond with any information, I couldn't find anything on google... only the site that seemingly sells used NDS cases or something http://www.xboxrepairguide.com/replacement-case-p-93.html
and they don't have them in stock.. or look reliable or anything..
also, if this is wrong place to post, please tell me where I should, tnx

well, for anyone interested, I did actually get all the way to the top screen..
all you need is:
3 prong(teir)? screw driver used to small electronics (digital cameras/gameboy sp/NDS/ etc...)(I think you can get it from lik-sang.com), you also need a regular 4 prong(teir?!) screw driver to get out the logic board, and battery if you want.. anyways... step by step:
#1: remove all external screws with aformentioned screw-drivers, including hidden screw under battery
#2: remove low casing, and remove all screws there! so logic board can be lifted up now!!
#3: lift up logic board to reveal screw directly under the notches that connect the topscreen to the main NDS body!! (and unscrew that screw, and remove small covering of notch)
at this point, I believe the L/R buttons will fall out, just make sure you get the little springs that fall out with them, and you will be able to reassemble the L/R buttons when you are ready to re-assemble
#4: look at top part of NDS housing, which houses the top screen, and speakers... you will see 4 small plastic little pieces(to get the plastic pieces up and out of their little emplacements, just use a flat head, and carefully pry them out, we'll just put them back in with superglue or something later!) that have an adhesive on them which is covering up (you guessed it),... 4 more little screws!!.. undo these!!
#5: now using the flat head screw-driver.. there should be some little snap notches that have the _back_ of the top portion snapped into place (meaning, the top back won't fall out immediately when you unscrew the screws).. take your flathead screwdriver, and simply unsnap them, and now the _back_ portion of the top housing should be able to fall out of place!
using this, you should be able to replace the screens/logicboard/button pieces/ everything....
(I admit though, I don't know how to remove the ribbon cables connecting the screens to the logic board)..
steps to reassemble:
#1: do everything aformentioned backwards
