The only serious answer to this question:

Projector.

if it was the same size as the projector, i pick big screen, simply because its high quality and not a shitty image shining onto a wall, what kind of dick would pick projector.

If you have a digital projector it would cost less than a large screen. Also the image quality wouldn't distort as much as a rear projected screen.

In the end a big screen TV(unless it is flat) is a projector.

Nonsense, you mean. Digital projectors don't necessarily cost more than a large screen (cheap digital projectors cost less than even a moderate PDP). Image quality is dependent upon more than just whether something is rear-projected (cheap rear-projection sets are ass, but the more expensive setups are very nice - likewise the cheap LCDs and even PDPs are rancid). And you can (or could) get big screen TVs that aren't projectors, LCDs or PDPs (yes, they really did make 50" CRTs - very heavy, very delicate, very expensive, but definitely not flat). >>5 clearly has no clue what he's talking about, or at least can't articulate it properly.

Wow, that's awesome! I used a flat plastic fresnel lens to cobble together a $20 CRT projector out of an old portable set many years back, but this little project makes something way more usable than the sorry cardboard-and-tape monstrosity that resulted from that early project.

Projector definitely, I much prefer the smaller size as well as the fact that it makes for a much more versatile device than a rear projection big screen. It's nice to be able to display on just about anything that has a blank, light colored, flat surface.

Don't change these.
