Any personal experiences with GPSs for car navigation?  I'm terminally lost.

I have a Pioneer AVIC-N1 in my car, which is an absolutely super-sexy piece of geekdom. Of course, at $1500 it's probably no where in the price range you're looking for (I didn't pay nearly that. Let's just say it's good to have a friend that works at a junk yard.) http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/article/0,,2076_3149_79169030,00.html

A female friend bought a Garmin 60CS a few weeks back. If you ignore the price (~AU$900 + map$) and that the processor is (deliberately) underpowered to get a decent battery life, its antenna sensitivity, street mapping and finding functions are superb.
I'm not planning to part from my eTrex for several more years, though. :)

Don't change these.
