iPod Shuffle

Is it just me, or is this bollocks?

You can get a 512mb flash MP3 player on ebay for about $60, and that's with
voice recording, FM radio and all that shite - the Shuffle is $99 and doesn't even have a screen.

Anyhow, I was discussing this with my roommate who recently bought a 512 MB MP3 player.  (he ended up getting one with Fm tuner, mic, etc.)  His theory was that people will buy it just because it's got the iPod name.  Simple as that.

Yes, and I go to K-Mart and buy shoes for $30 that last me just as long as a pair of $120 Nike's would.  But people still buy the Nike's, because of the name.
