We always have these threads, and the answer is that it doesn't really matter what style you choose. You'll find crappy, worthless instructors by the handfulls in every art. Just browse around town and find a good instructor that allows good contact sparring/fighting in his classes, and stick with that no matter what style it is. That'll allow you to actually push your skills to their limits. There is a reason there are a few instructors in every martial art who have trained dozens of world-ranked fighters - because instructors matter more than style
