Korea just lost to Japan. 6 to zip.

It's sad how the Koreans are not as ambitious as they need to be. They were originally aiming for the semi-finals, not towards victory, just like they did back for soccer World Cup. If they set their goal towards victory and tried harder, then they might have crushed Japan.

Not to mention that they are proud and overconfident of themselve. You say one little positive thing about the Koreans and they will consider that as some sort of nation pride, then start to slack off. It's sad, really.

CUBA VS JAPAN
Who is going to be the champion?

Cuba: With only amateur players is on the finals and is big favorite but has never been confronted to Japan.

Japan: The last Professional team that remains in the Championship.

If Mexico hadn't won to the US that day, today we would be typeing a story totally different.
It's like if Mexico had made justice for the running that lil bobby didn't count to japan but also for the homerun that again lil bobby didn't count to Mexico.

Same thing happens in Olympic Basketball.

Name: Anonymous 2006-03-26 3:54

Baseball been played in Asia and Central America, and the Cariebbean for a hundred years, to the point where some people in their respective countries believe their country created the sport and it was the Americans who imported the games, unlike Basketball  where the '92 Dream Team basically bit the U.S. basketball team in the ass, other coutries has been playing quality baseball almost as long as we have.

P.S. the main reason why Baseball isn't an IOC sport anymore is because the board is filled with European fuckers that don't know the sport. The vote was played as anti American, but it hurts the East Asian, and Centeral American countries just as much.

what's baseball? isn't it just cricket that americans stole.

Name: Piet 2006-07-18 7:24

Japan's gonna win it. Again. It's just Americans don't wanna play for the US team which grants other countries a chance of winning the cup. And baseball is THE #1 sport in Japan, so I wouldn't be surprised. Furthermore I'd like to add I am not informed about the rules of baseball, and I never saw a game. I'm European, go hate me for that.

Don't change these.
