Do Euro countries not know how to check?

I haven't seen too many hockey games here but from what I have seen the Euros don't check NEARLY as much as the North American teams.


I mean if you watched US vs. Latvia we were dropping them to the floor every time they even tried to touch the puck. The whole time I was thinking why aren't the Latvians checking back?


Now I'm watching Sweden and Latvia and they play like the women. 0 checking. Its like we take a US football approach to the sport and the Euros take a soccer approach to it (less contact, faster pace).


Are euros little girls?

American football used to be played with shitty ass protection too. You havent seen a real neck-breaking tackle until u see AF. You woudn''t believe how many spins in the air you can make a person do.
